This is a folk orchestral work with symphonic style composition. The composer uses the diverse modal characteristics of Western music and draws on various Middle Eastern, Xinjiang, and Spanish style music elements derived from flamenco, tango, and tap-dancing music. As the music progresses, its inner strength gradually accumulates, the rhythm becomes tighter, the sound momentum becomes stronger, and the climax is revealed step by step. Like pilgrimages from all over the world, lives, passions, and dreams are transformed under the moon along the Silk Road.

On the Grasslands

This piece uses Mongolian style to reflect the poetic life of nomads. The composer uses the playing technique of the Horse Head fiddle, a cello-like Mongolian instrument, on the mellow Zhonghu imitates its tone and style, sketching a picture of grassland life with vast blue skies and galloping horses.

Fantasia on A Hebei Folk Tune

This piece is composed by Yan Shaoyi and is inspired by the Hebei folk tune Huabangzi. The whole piece is divided into six sections: introduction, allegro, adagio, presto, cadenza, and ending. Allegro is passionate and unrestrained, while Adagio is beautiful and affectionate. The whole song presents the vibrant and passionate atmosphere characteristic of Hebei music.

此曲是作曲家閻绍一先生根据河北花梆子曲牌編寫而成，全曲共分為六个段落：引子、快 板、慢板、緊板、獨奏部分及尾聲。快板激昂而奔放，慢板優美而深情，全曲氣氛热烈、激情洋溢，極俱河北音樂特色。
