Music is humanity's universal language—a joyful way to enrich lives and express creativity. Music education builds more than skills; it develops focus, coordination, and confidence that last a lifetime. Guided by our mission to preserve traditional Chinese music and nurture the next generation of artists, the Chinese Music Ensemble of New York (CMENY) remains dedicated to youth education in Chinese musical arts. Our program offers instruction in a variety of instruments as well as group rehearsals, teaching students not only musical skills but also the art of listening and collaboration.

Program
計劃​​

Youth Education Program Highlights:
  • Multi-Instrument Exploration. Diverse instrument options to help students quickly identify their favorite and most suitable choice(s), with the flexibility to learn multiple instruments concurrently for accelerated progress
  • Comprehensive music curriculum. Combined with systematic music theory lessons and personalized small-group instruction, specially designed for beginners to achieve fast skill development
  • Collaborative Ensemble Experience. Interactive group rehearsals make learning enjoyable while cultivating listening skills and collaborative abilities.
  • Performance-Focused Curriculum. Periodic recitals showcase measurable progress, building confidence and performance poise.
  • Family Engagement Program. Complimentary parent participation enhances student engagement and brings musical enrichment to entire families.

Eligibility:
​Students aged 6-18 and their adult family members. Suitable for absolute beginners and those with a basic music background.

Summer Camp Sessions:
  • Session 1: Saturdays & Sundays (6/28 - 7/27)

​零基础和有少量音乐基础的6-18 歲少年兒童學員及成年親屬。

Dizi (flute), Pipa, Erhu, Yangqin, Liuqin, Guzheng, Ruan, Cello, Chinese drum, and more.

Course Details: Includes 10 lessons: 8 instrument lessons (including music theory and ear training), 2 group rehearsals, and a final showcase concert. Students can try out three different instruments in the first three sessions

All instructors are professional musicians from CMENY. Classes are kept small (1~5 students per instrument) to ensure quality instruction. Top-performing students will have the chance to join complimentary orchestra rehearsal sessions and charity concerts in the community. We also offer musical instrument rental and purchase assistance to help students and families access the necessary tools.

​价格：10次課。含8次樂器課 (包含樂理知識，視唱練耳等)，2次合奏課及成果展示音樂會。每期前三節樂器課可分別選擇三種樂器學習。
