The Chinese Music Ensemble of New York (CMENY), joined by the internationally renowned Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, will be hosting a very special Lunar New Year Celebration on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music, 450 West 37th Street, starting at 5:30 PM.

This festive event celebrating the Year of the Snake will feature cocktails, cuisine, live music and dance performances, mingling, and holiday festivities throughout the evening.

CMENY is a 501(c)3 non-profit community-based orchestra with a mission to preserve and promote the heritage musical arts of Asia to diverse and contemporary audiences. Founded in 1961, it has grown to become the oldest and largest orchestra of its type in all Americas! In addition to community events and ticketed concerts, CMENY hosts music programs for youth and beginners, conducts community outreach and education. Over the years, CMENY has continuously engaged in novel artistic initiatives with artists around the world.

Proceeds from the gala will support new and ongoing programs to share the beauty and joy of heritage music with all. All donations and a portion of each gala ticket will be tax-deductible.

We would love for you to join us at the gala for a festive Asian fine new year hors d'oeuvres along with a close encounter with the CMENY musicians and dancers of the Nai Ni Chen Dance Company to welcome good fortune, health, and prosperity in the Year of the Snake!
